Attributes
Use the Attributes tab to associate attributes with a type. Attributes define the fields that appear on instances of the type, such as description, due date, amount, attachment, or assigned user. See Attributes for the attribute overview and Attribute Configuration Guide for detailed configuration steps.
Click Add Attribute to select existing attributes and associate them with the type. If the attribute does not exist yet, create it from Schema > Attributes first. See Attribute Configuration Guide for creating and configuring attributes. After adding attributes, save the type to apply the association.
The attributes grid shows:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The associated attribute. Select the name to open the attribute definition. |
| Type | The attribute data type, such as Text, Date, Numeric, Picklist, Attachment, User, or Reference. |
| Required | Shows whether the attribute is required, optional, or required by a rule. |
| Rule | Shows the required condition rule when one is configured. |
| Actions | Provides actions such as removing the attribute association. |
Drag attributes in the grid to change their order. Removing an attribute from this tab removes the association from the type; it does not delete the global attribute definition.
Required condition rules can be configured for attributes that are not already marked as required. Expression attributes do not support required condition rules.
